Twilight sleep throughout the procedure
Analogue sedation, also known as twilight sleep, is an especially gentle form of anaesthesia. There are two reasons for twilight sleep: If the procedure requires anaesthesia, analogue sedation is a gentle alternative to general anaesthesia. In this method, you breathe in the anaesthetic unaided. It is not necessary to use breathing tubes and masks as in general anaesthesia. This form of anaesthesia is also much better tolerated.
We also offer voluntary analogue sedation to anxious patients who don’t want to experience anything about their treatment. They can literally slumber through the procedure in a relaxed, anxiety-free twilight sleep.
